Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon Feel Pressured Working On Their Drama ‘Lovely Runner’: ‘Filming Was Tough…’

'Lovely Runner' Stars Byeon Woo Seok & Kim Hye Yoon Partner With Elle Korea

Ahead of the release of tvN's time-slip romance drama "Lovely Runner," its lead stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon collaborated with Elle Korea. They shared a glimpse of their soon-to-unveil chemistry and sat for an interview to talk more about their project. 

The drama is scheduled to air on April 8 on tvN and will occupy the Monday and Tuesday slots. "Lovely Runner" features the story of a passionate fan, Im Sol, who travels back in time to save her idol Seon Jae from his death. 

Byeon Woo Seok, who has starred in various time travel genre series is back at it again. He takes the role of Ryu Seon Jae, a top star who has been in the spotlight since his debut. 

Byeon Woo Seok Feels Pressured Working On 'Lovely Runner'

During the interview, the actor shared that the scenes were vivid and beautiful. He also humbly said, "I knew I had to be the one to bring Sun Jae to life." The heartthrob is also grateful to his co-star Kim Hye Yoon, "Filming was tough at times, but Hye Yoon's cheerful energy helped me a lot. It made everything easier."

In relation to the narrative of their new drama, Byeon Woo Seok was asked if he would travel back in time and meet his first love like the characters in their series, and he answered, "I wouldn't go back because it might ruin those innocent childhood memories. I would rather keep them happy as they were."

Kim Hye Yoon Expresses Her Connection With Her Character

Meanwhile, Kim Hye Yoon, who will portray Im Sol, expressed her excitement for the drama. She said, "I love the script, but I admit I felt some pressure at first, thinking 'Could I really pull off her character?' But it was a good kind of pressure."

The young actress also confessed that the series gave her the opportunity to play a 30-year-old character, which she said is the oldest role she has ever played.

Kim Hye Yoon then talked about her connection with her character, "Im Sol's fate changes when she becomes a huge fan of Seon Jae. This reignites her will to live."

She added, "Playing her role allowed me to deeply empathize with the feelings of my fans. They always pen me letters, and experiencing Sol's journey really made me connect with the hearts behind those letters."

Kim Hye Yoon shared that portraying Im Sol's character made her realize how precious the bond between her and her fans is.
