'Parasyte: The Grey' Finally Makes Much Anticipated Debut

On April 5, the long awaited debut of Netflix's "Parasyte: The Grey" starring Jeon So Nee, Koo Kyo Hwan and Lee Jung Hyun finally took place.

Based on the popular comic "Parasite," the show follows the lives of ordinary people who fall victim into parasitical life forms from outer space that plan to kill humanity.

Besides its unconventional storyline, the Netflix series also boasted its formidable cast lineup of actors including Kwon Hae Hyo, Yoon Hyun Gil, Kim In Kwon and more.

The entire series depicted how Jeon So Nee's Jung Su In becomes a host to a parasite that keeps her safe from harm, and how Lee Jung Hyun's Choi Jun Kyung plans to kill her off.

Through this, the director made amazing metaphorical points about deception and greed, leaving viewers speechless. In addition, the work also boasts its appealingly freakish visuals.

In the work, parasites who found human hosts develop tentacles with blades at the tips, which became their main weapon against their enemies and impending harm.

In particular, viewers are taken by storm by Jeon So Nee's performance as a hormonal teenager who works through her trauma as she becomes a host to a grotesque parasite.

"Parasyte: The Grey" is a charming and promising series that is a perfect blend of the original work and Yeon Sang Ho's perception of the Japanese comic.
