The health condition of 89-year-old veteran actor Lee Soo Jae has taken a serious turn for the worse. It was determined that all the performances of the play "Waiting for Godot" should be canceled, Park Company announced on October 11.
Sports Chosun reported that the decision was made based on the recommendation of the doctor to Lee Soon-Jae to rest due to his very poor physical condition.
"All the performances scheduled to be held in the future were canceled due to the health status of Lee Soon-jae, who plays the role of Ester, in the play 'Waiting for Godot'," the Park Company said.
In response to the news, Laura Park, the company's representative, expressed regret to all the spectators expecting to attend the performances.

It was also announced that from now on, the only thing that Lee Soon-Jae is going to do is to concentrate on his own health.
All activities in the actor's schedule for the next few days, including his lecture on the master class "70 Years of Acting Philosophy" scheduled for October 12, have been canceled.
The comedy "Waiting for Godot," a loose paraphrase of the eponymous classic, debuted in September, with Lee Soon-Jae playing the role of Esther.
