Moon Won, the fiancé of Koyote member Shinji, has taken legal action against what he describes as malicious rumors and online harassment following their marriage announcement.

On Aug. 16, law firm DLG issued a statement on his behalf. The firm said, "Since the news of their marriage was made public, false information has been indiscriminately spread online."

The announcement further said that the harm has been serious. The lawyers added, "Unfounded speculation and provocative content (related to false rumors) are also continuously spreading."

Lawyers also emphasized the impact of cyberbullying. They added, "Malicious commenters have sent harsh language and other insults to Moon Won's social media accounts. They repeatedly sent direct messages (DMs) that bordered on personal attacks, causing psychological harm."

DLG reports that Moon Won made a criminal complaint on Aug. 5. The company cautioned, "We will continue to take decisive action against the spread of false information and the creation and distribution of malicious content."

Moon Won clarified why he decided to seek the law courts. He stated, "It gave me an opportunity to reflect on my attitude and words and actions," However, malicious content is spreading like wildfire and many people are being harmed"

Shinji publicly announced her marriage plans for the first time in June on her YouTube station.

Then a number of allegations were raised about Moon Won, such as tweeting, real estate infractions, and previous bullying.

Moon Won agreed to running a business without a real estate license and affirmed that his breakup with his former wife came after a premarital pregnancy. But he denied all the other charges.

The two, who came together at the "Single Bungle Show" radio program in 2023, will get married in the first half of next year.

On the other hand, Koyote's Shinji tearfully confessed on You Quiz on the Block that criticism of her fiancé, Moon Won, makes her fear she'll "become a victim of Koyote."

She admitted online comments blaming her for hurting the group cut the deepest but thanked her bandmates for their support.

Despite Moon Won's past controversies—including a previous marriage and a daughter—Shinji, 42, said she remains committed to both her relationship and her group of over 20 years.
