Park is introduced in the drama as Yoon Yi-rang, captain of the "Confidence Man Team." She is depicted as a genius with money, brains, and earthy beauty, targeting only bad people in order to bring justice. The role is a departure from her typical romantic-comedy persona.
The production team were also optimistic that she could deliver well. A representative stated, "Once the show airs, people will naturally say, 'Park Min-young did it again.'
Her diverse fashion choices in the drama will also be a major highlight for viewers. Her various dressing styles in the drama will be another big appeal for viewers."

Since making her entry in the 2006 sitcom High Kick!, Park has established herself as a rom-com queen by starring in a string of successes like Sungkyunkwan Scandal, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Her Private Life, and Marry My Husband.
However, Park's career has not lacked controversy. In 2022, she was involved in a high-profile scandal with businessman Mr. Kang, accused of being the secret owner of a cryptocurrency exchange that had been accused of stock manipulation and embezzlement.
Her agency had commented on the matter then. The response was, "She did not receive any financial support from him."
Two days later, after news of the relationship broke out, Park confirmed that it had broken up.
In spite of previous individual controversies, Park is still one of Korea's top actresses.
Although her gaunt look during the press conference raised eyebrows, fans are still keen on viewing her new look in Confidence Queen.
