South Korean actress Kim Hye-yoon opened up about her emotional struggle with constant audition rejections—including one for the drama that eventually catapulted her to fame, 'SKY Castle'—in a new interview on YouTube channel Ha Ji-young.

"I went to the audition thinking I was going to fail," she said, explaining a time of deep self-doubt prior to being cast as Kang Ye-seo, a high-strung and multifaceted high school student.

Kim's hosting stint on Ha Ji-young was not for a project promotion but due to a personal relationship with the host. The casual environment made way for a more direct, frank discussion.

When Ha Ji-young jokingly described the set as a "cottage industry," Kim played along, saying, "I'm also from the film department," drawing laughter from the crew.
