Actor Jo Woo Jin revealed a heartwarming experience he had with actor Lee Byung Hun, explaining that the veteran actor once made him cry with his compliment.

Maeil Business Newspaper (mk.co.kr) reported that Jo joined Park Ji Hwan and Jung Kyung Ho on Sept. 29 for the YouTube show "Salty Brother Shin Dong-yup." The actors had open discussions about their work with host Shin Dong-yup.

In the episode, Hotcherl Jeong mentioned Lee Byung Hun's previous remarks regarding Jo. He stated, "Didn't Lee Byung Hun praise Jo Woo Jin a lot in interviews after Inside Men?"

Jeong then remembered the exact quote Lee Byung Hun had made at that time. He stated, "He said, 'I can't guarantee how well Inside Men will do, but Jo Woo-jin will definitely be talked about.'"

When he heard this, Jo confessed that the experience was very moving for him. He stated, "That's why I cried," grabbing everyone's attention.

As per Sports Chosun, the star also exposed how he reacted when he was praised with thanks. According to Jo, "After that, I texted Lee Byung-hun. I sent a long, heartfelt message, thanking him for mentioning me in interviews after guiding me on set. Lee replied with just one line: 'I only said what I saw.'"

Shin Dong-yup broke the tension with a teasing comment.He stated, "That guy was just trying to look cool", and everyone laughed.

Jo's explanation revealed not only his respect for Lee Byung-hun but the strong sense of mentor relationship in the Korean film community.

Lee, one of Korea's more prominent actors, had appeared on screen with Jo in Inside Men, a successful political crime thriller.
