Ex-S.E.S. star and actress Eugene made news after speaking openly about a bad experience working alongside a co-star who suffered from an episode of "rotten" breath.

As per Koreaboo, the news broke in a YouTube video by Eugene on her channel, with her and her actor husband Ki Tae Young playing a "balance game" while enjoying tteokbokki. The actor couple was requested to decide between two scenarios of film shoots: "an actor with a sewer breath" or "an actor who can't remember lines."

Before explaining her choice, Ki Tae Young shared his reasoning for preferring the latter scenario.

"I'm usually accommodating of actors who forget lines when they are nervous, but doing it constantly puts me on edge."

Eugene, on the other hand, chose the opposite, admitting that dealing with bad breath on set was far worse.

"Even so, it's better than someone with breath that smells like a sewer," she said.

The crew members proposed that it would be less difficult to withstand a co-star's bad breath because one could simply "hold their breath and wrap the shoot." Eugene did not agree, though.

"How can you hold your breath? You have to talk to your co-star. How can you answer without breathing?"

The actress then spoke about an actual incident that mirrored the scenario in the game. She shared that she had once worked on a project with a female co-star whose breath was so awful that it was intolerable.

"It wasn't a male co-star, but an actress. The smell of rotten cigarettes was overwhelming. Seriously," Eugene remembered.

The admission shocked the crowd, and everybody was wondering which actress she meant. Netizens took to the comment section and expressed their shock and laughter; some were jokingly trying to name the mysterious co-actor.

Her fans valued Eugene's openness and humor about the case and thanked her for being herself and real during the discussion.
