According to OSEN, the event was hosted by pianist and writer Moon A-ram and marked the official launch of Park's first essay, which was published on October 29. The book is about the actor's 40-year career and his reflections on life, growth, and accountability.

Park Joong-hoon shared that he wanted to be honest about both successes and failures, including his involvement in a past marijuana scandal.

"When someone only uses the Yongbi Eocheon Ga (Song of the Dragons Flying to Heaven) to talk about themselves, it doesn't seem believable," he said.

As per Chosun, the actor felt it was important to acknowledge the marijuana incident because, while it may be less remembered by younger generations, it was a significant part of his life. He believed that sharing this aspect would add credibility to his story rather than just portraying a flawless image.

The veteran actor reflected upon times past, emphasizing personal accountability for growth.

"In the end, the past was mine. Both the good things and the bad things were all things I did," explained Park. "I thought it's important to recover, inherit, and develop that well now, at this age."

Using an analogy, he compared himself to concrete: pure cement alone is weak and breaks easily, but when mixed with gravel and sand, it becomes strong.

Similarly, he sees mistakes as necessary components that contribute to personal strength and resilience. He does not intend to repeat his errors but acknowledges them fully.

Park also spoke of gratitude and humility in his long career. "Actually, I've been very lucky in life. I only remember being startled because I'm famous, but I've been incredibly lucky," he said. "I'm okay if my acting career ends here, even though I'll be a little sad. I don't have any regrets."

Comparing his current mindset to an Olympic athlete aiming for a third gold medal, he expressed his commitment to working even harder while accepting whatever results come his way.
