Koreaboo also highlighted that the sequel was highly anticipated by fans, especially since Signal is noted as one of the best Korean dramas in the last decade.

As one netizen commented, "People act like they won't watch, but once he writes an apology and the premiere date gets pushed back a little, I'm sure it'll air just fine with decent viewership. I highly doubt it'll get canceled."

Another said, "I mean, actors with track records of prostitution also do just fine. I don't think for a second this scandal will get the whole season canceled."

More responses were from Theqoo, showing the growing emotional impact on long-time fans.

One user said, "This is all I've been waiting for the past decade... Sigh." Another exclaimed, "This is one of my absolute favorites... I've been waiting so long for this second season. What has he done, seriously???" Others expressed frustration through short messages such as "Ugh..." and "My Signal..."

In an article published by Koreaboo, the second season—eight episodes total—wrapped filming in August 2025 and is currently scheduled to premiere on June 6, 2026. But with the controversy still unfolding, delays or possible recasting are now a fear of both industry insiders and fans, who now look uncertainly at one of Korean television's most anticipated returns.
