Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are one of the most favorite on-screen couples in Korea, having starred in 2018 for the movie "The Negotiation" and the 2020 hit drama "Crash Landing On You." Since their wedding, public curiosity has only increased over whether these two would reunite again in another romance series.

That question cropped up again when Hyun Bin guested in Jung Jae Hyung's YouTube show "Fairy Table" on Dec. 21, 2025 KST, as part of his promotional activity for the Disney+ original series "Made In Korea." The appearance immediately went under scrutiny as fans listened intently for hints of future projects with Son Ye Jin.
During the interview, he was directly asked if he would act with his wife for the third time, and he shared a cautiously optimistic attitude. He revealed, "I'm open to it, but I don't think it could be something like Crash Landing On You again. If there's a different genre of work, I'd be willing."
Commenting on the report, the "Reply 1988" actor said, "Hearing these news makes me both open and restrictive," he furthered, "I'm not against it, but if that happens, it will be important to avoid repetition." Per Koreaboo, "the comment hit close to the hearts of the fans, who up to this day still remember them as Yoon Se-ri and Captain Ri from "Crash Landing On You."
Hyun Bin continued to explain by giving examples of what kinds of ideas would make sense for him creatively: "A story where a married couple suddenly grows apart could be interesting, or something like Mr. & Mrs. Smith could be fun too. If there's another interesting concept, I think it would be great to co-star again."
Industry observers said such suggestions reflected Hyun Bin's interest in looking at newer dynamics rather than easily falling back on romantic familiarity. Reports underlined that his remarks positioned genre diversity and narrative freshness over reproducing past success.
Sports Seoul later analyzed the appearance to state that Hyun Bin's careful wording reflected a consideration of both public expectations and professional boundaries. The outlet explained that his remarks were tempering fan anticipation by underlining the real view of how difficult it is to surpass the impact of a cultural phenomenon like "Crash Landing On You."
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have kept most of their personal life private since the time they got married and mostly engaged themselves in different projects. But still, such moments keep speculations and excitement running among fans.
For now, there is no confirmation of a new joint project, but Hyun Bin's comments have left the door open that, while another collaboration may not emulate their romance of days gone by, it could emerge in an entirely new and unexpected form.
