Rising star Choo Young Woo, who appeared in "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call," is now making headlines again as he finds himself under controversy after opening up about his past incidents in a recent interview. Choo Young Woo seemed to be on the right track after being out of controversy for several months now.

Early in 2025, however, Choo found himself involved in a few scandals. This included a situation which got very bad online accusations, and then there was an incident that forced him to apologize.
At this point, it had a great impact on his image. As reported by Koreaboo, it appeared that he avoided all incidents in order to give fans an air that the incident was closed.
On his side, Choo has talked in an interview about the impact of scandals on his personal life. Prior to giving his citations, the interviewer asked him about the effect of these incidents on his way of living.
Choo stated, "These days, I really think I need to live more properly, and I hardly go outside at all." His statement was meant to show self-improvement but raised more issues on holding people accountable for their actions.
News1 wrote that the interview part was soon circulated online, and opinions started splitting. While some netizens showed empathy for the young actors who were caught up in the ordeal of fame, others found his words insufficiently reflective about the damage that had been caused in the previous incidents.
They said that his words leaned more heavily towards the importance of self-control rather than addressing the concerns of the public.
The conversation received further attention within Korean online forums, especially theqoo, with netizens analysis of his comments piece by piece.
Some comments addressed whether there was an authentic element of apology and/or mitigation of his statements for reputation management purposes. A popular response negated the reason altogether.
"Industry observers note that scandals involving rising actors often resurface when addressed publicly, even with careful wording," there are reactions that reveal sensitivities that may still be felt. Although Choo seemed to couch his statements with a message of personal control and daily habits, it was clear that approaching the name itself was sensitive.
Experts from the entertainment industry told Koreaboo that "interviews conducted to demonstrate maturity may inadvertently do the opposite when trust has not been fully regained." Choo Young Woo has not ceased to work, and no news about official punishment for his interview has come to light yet. According to News1, his agency has not released another official statement yet.
