Actress Lee Yo Won who got married at the height of her early career, has finally set the record straight about long-standing rumors about her wedding and first pregnancy. The actress talked openly about the rumors that followed her sudden marriage in 2003, clearing things up more than 20 years later.

Lee became famous in 2001 when she won the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actress for her role in "Take Care of My Cat." People thought she was a rising star and that she would keep getting more work in movies and TV.

But in 2003, when she was 23, she married a professional golfer who had become a businessman. She then took a break from acting for almost two years, which made a lot of people wonder why she got married so soon.

Lee talked about the rumors directly on a recent episode of tvN's talk show "Table Tales." Koreaboo reports that she admitted that rumors of a premarital pregnancy have followed her for years because her wedding and the birth of her first child were so close together.

I got pregnant about a month after getting married. Not that I gave birth a month later. I got married in January and gave birth in December."

She went on to say, "In fact, even my firstborn had asked me if she was 'a mistake,' because her friends kept asking her about the timeline. But that's simply not the case..."

The actress said that her first pregnancy was what she called a "honeymoon baby," which goes against the idea that her marriage was caused by an unexpected pregnancy. Viewers really connected with the clarification, especially when Lee talked about how the rumors eventually got to her own kids.
