Jeon So Min, an actress, has been in the news for talking about a luxury Chanel wallet she got as a gift from veteran broadcaster Yoo Jae Suk. She said it is still her only Chanel item and has become more special to her over time. She revealed the news while on a new SBS variety show where guests were asked to bring personal items that represent them.
The episode aired on February 2 in the afternoon, along with the first episode of SBS's new talk show, "Uh But Like Seriously." There was a 2-on-2 meeting segment on the show, and Jeon was a guest along with the hosts. Everyone brought something that meant something to them and told the story behind it.
AllKpop says that Jeon showed off a Chanel wallet that she has had for a few years. When the wallet was shown, host Tak Jae Hoon joked about how much it was worth. Before she answered, Jeon made it clear what her relationship was with expensive things.
"I don't own many luxury items. When I first started earning money, I only bought a good bag. That was it. This wallet was my first-ever Chanel item, and I haven't bought any Chanel since. Yoo Jae Suk gave Christmas gifts to everyone for their hard work after 'Sixth Sense' ended. I got this from him. I've been using it well for about five or six years now," she said.

It is said that the wallet has gone up in value since it was first given as a gift and is now worth more than 1 million KRW, which is about $689. The fact that its price went up added to the interest in Jeon's comments, especially since she stressed sentimental value over luxury branding.
The Chosun Daily also reported that Lee Soo Ji, another cast member, responded to the story by acknowledging how emotional the gift was. Lee said how important the gesture must have been before Jeon answered. "You must have been really touched."
Jeon then went on to say more about why the wallet is still special to her years later.
"It was my first time receiving a luxury item as a gift. The longer I use it, the more special it feels."
