Actress Jung Eun-chae has been the subject of engagement rumors since the most recent episode of ENA's legal thriller "Honor: Her Court" revealed that her character's relationship with a well-known CEO of an IT company was purposefully made public. The drama's growing scandal plot gained new tension as a result of the development.

Ten Asia reports that the Monday-Tuesday series' broadcast on February 16 showed three female attorneys who were determined to reveal a long-kept secret under increasing pressure. According to Nielsen Korea data for paid households, the episode had viewership ratings of 3.1% nationwide and 3.0% in the metropolitan area.
According to the outlet, the complete story of the "Korea University Law School male student disappearance case" was unveiled in Episode 5 of ENA's "Honor: Her Court," which was written by Park Ga-yeon and directed by Park Gun-ho.
The case concerned Hwang Hyun-jin (Lee Chung-ah), Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-chae), and Yoon Ra-young (Lee Na-young), whose past came to light in a significant scandal.
According to the report, 20 years later, Park Joo-hwan—later identified as prosecutor Park Je-yeol (Seo Hyun-woo)—resurfaced, claiming innocence and expressing resentment. He threatened to "get out of Connect In" during a confrontation.

In the episode, the trio also expressed suspicion that Park Je-yeol had shielded people involved in a covert prostitution app by using his prosecutorial power. He was directly confronted by Kang Shin-jae as the investigation progressed, which resulted in a heated discussion about DNA evidence and recovered memories.

A corporate power struggle grew more intense in the meantime. When it was revealed that Haeil executive Kwon Joong-hyun had used the contentious app, she removed Kang Shin-jae from her position and named her the new CEO of L&J, according to Naver. A deal with Sung Tae-im, the CEO of Haeil (Kim Mi-sook), was the driving force behind the move.
According to the report, Sung Tae-im purposefully told the media that her daughter Kang Shin-jae was engaged to Baek Tae-joo (Yeon Woo-jin), the CEO of the IT company, The Prime. Intentionally revealing the relationship increased rumors and put additional strain on Shin-jae, who was already dealing with personal and professional issues.
At a crucial point, Yoon Ra-young expressed her determination to face the past. "We should have fought for ourselves at least once." Later, in a shocking line that heightened anticipation, she added, "I should have just killed him then."
Viewers are eager to see how the engagement rumors and the Connect In scandal will play out in the next episode, as the three lawyers' solidarity grows during the crisis.
