Is Kim Bum’s Romantic Style Similar To Kim Tan’s?

Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum have been friends since their "Boys Over Flowers" days. But despite the fact that they remain close, "The Heirs" star had no clue that Kim Bum was dating Moon Geun Young.

"I had no idea," said Lee Min Ho of the relationship between the "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji" co-stars.

"Both Kim Bum and I were so busy with filming our dramas that we could not stay in touch but I have congratulated him," said Lee Min Ho. "Kim Bum is quite the man. His romance style is similar to Kim Tan's."

What exactly does he mean by that? Having a romance style similar to Kim Tan's could be a good thing or a bad thing. Here's how it might work out either way.

In some respects Kim Tan was a good boyfriend to have. He's handsome and kind to those he likes. He's protective. He's better hero than some of the other male leads created by writer Kim Eun Sook. He's not mean like Hyun Bin was to Ha Ji Won In "Secret Garden."

Kim Tan tries to take care of Cha Eun Sang at school. He makes sure she eats. He protects her from the bullies in school and in his home. This seems like Kim Bum's style. When Kim Bum played Moon Geun Young's protector in "Goddess of Fire: Jeonji," his character was ready to die for her. And in all the pictures taken of them as a couple, he seems like a caring boyfriend.

Kim Tan proudly acknowledged his feelings. He stood up and declared that Cha Eun Sang was his girl in front of all his friends and said that it didn't matter if she was poor. While Kim Bum proudly declared his feelings for Moon Geun Young, he will never have to say anything about her being poor as she probably has more money than he does. She has more acting credits.

On the negative side, while Kim Tan is a nice guy, he is fairly aggressive. He's passive about most things in his life but pursues Cha Eun Sang with a vengeance, stalking her, using her social media account, kissing her when she does not want be kissed, complicating her life because he can't control his feelings for her. It's hard to imagine Kim Bum doing that or Moon Geun Young permitting it. 

Kim Tan and Cha Eun Sang hid their relationship for a while, but Kim Bum and Moon Geun Young were pretty open about theirs, declaring it as soon as their drama ended.
