Chace Crawford, the actor who played Nate Archibald on the former series "Gossip Girl," has been called on by Fox's "Glee" to star in its special 100th episode.
Us Weekly reported that Crawford is going to play a love interest. After portraying the irresistible Nate Archibald on "Gossip Girl," this "Glee" role should be a walk in the park.
A source told the publication that the actor "will play Dianna Agron's boyfriend, whom she brings back to Lima to meet her friends."
While "Glee" is known for its musical numbers, it isn't confirmed that Crawford will participate.
"His character will not be singing -- as of now," said the insider.
The source also said that Crawford is happy to collaborate with some of his friends that work on the "Glee" show.
"Chace is excited to work with [series co-creator] Ryan Murphy and his longtime friend Matthew Morrison," they said. "He knows most of the other cast as well."
E! News confirmed that the show's 100th episode will have two parts. Part one will debut on March 18th while the next will air the following Tuesday.
Friday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Gwyneth Paltrow will make a comeback in the 100th episode as the substitute teacher Holly Holliday, the role that won the actress an Emmy.
Other former "Glee" stars that should reappear in the centennial show include Kristin Chenoweth (April), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike), Heather Morris (Brittany), and Mark Salling (Puck).
