With "Jurassic Park 4" now known as "Jurassic World" release date set on June 2015 we are finally getting some news about the much anticipated sequel.
One of the questions fans ask about "Jurassic Park 4" is that will any one of the original "Jurassic Park" characters return on "Jurassic Park 4".
According to IGN, during an interview for Sam Neill's upcoming film, "The Adventurer: The Curse of Midas Box", the Examiner asked the star of the original "Jurassic Park" if he'd come back as Dr. Alan Grant for Jurassic World if given the opportunity. This is what Sam Neill said.
"Look, you never say no, I think there's a whole new cast and a whole new look at things, and I think that's great. As I said, I'd never say no, but I wish them... well, I'm sure it's going to be great, but they don't need me."
It doesn't seem like Sam Neill is part of the movie with the way he answered the question but Jeff Goldblum was pretty coy with his answers when asked about "Jurassic Park 4"
During a sprawling interview with the Financial Times, Jeff Goldblum was asked if he was planning on appearing in the movie. Jeff Goldblum played it coy.
"Whether I'm in it or not, I'll be first in line for a ticket," he said.
Considering it's not a firm denial, we can still be hopeful that he'll return for "Jurassic World". He is already set to reprise another one of his roles in the upcoming "Independence Day" sequel. Maybe he'd like to put "Jurassic Park" into that list as well.
It looks like "Jurassic World" is going to separate itself from the original trilogy with none of the original cast returning so far. It seems that "Jurassic Park 4" or "Jurassic World" is going to be a fresh start for the series.
"Jurassic World" opens June 12, 2015.
