Lee Jong Suk Talks About Love

Talk to Lee Jong Suk about his dating life and his ears may burn red. When he learned that he was rumored to be dating "School 2013" co-star Park Se Young, he promptly spit out his food in surprised embarassment.

He has also been romantically linked with actress Jun So Min, which he denied, and his bromantic co-star Kim Woo Bin, which he laughed about. But at 26 years old he has decided to confront the subject. Despite his embarrassment, he admits he's ready to have a relationship.

"Although I am not dating now, I do occasionally see women and think that they are all right," said Lee Jong Suk. "But that's a one-sided love. Of course I have experienced a sad one-sided love. I still remember that. A one-sided love is so very sad."

He would prefer to like someone who liked him back but it has to be someone the acknowledged noona-killer can look up to.

"I want a woman who is better than I am," he said. "I am attracted to women that I can learn from, a woman who I can lose to and who moves my heart.'

Those qualifications make it sound like the romance in his recent drama "I Hear Your Voice," when his character Park Soo Ha liked the older Jang Hye Sung, played by Lee Bo Young.

But if he did have such a relationship, he said he would not mind going public with it. That's what his "I Hear Your Voice" co-star Lee Bo Young and his "School 2013" co-star Kim Woo Bin did.

A few months ago Kim Woo Bin, who appeared in "The Heirs," confessed that he dated model Yoo Ji Ahn for the past two years. Lee Bo Young was open about her relationship with then boyfriend and now husband actor Ji Sung.

"If photos are going to be taken anyway, wouldn't it be better to just reveal it first," he said. "I know everyone doesn't do that. And I may feel this way because I've never experienced the situation firsthand. Many senior actors have advised me never to go public with a relationship and they probably have a reason. But I think it would be okay to try it once."

What else is does he look for in a girl?

"I would like a girl who encourages me and listens to my concerns," said the star of the film "Hot Blooded Youth."

He once said his ideal type was actress Lee Na Young but since she has publicly confirmed her relationship with Won Bin, he may have to come up with a new plan. He probably has plenty of fans who would volunteer to date him publicly.
