There is no going back. The woman who wants to keep her powers and the woman who wants to corrupt another woman are on. On the MBC Monday Tuesday drama "Empress Ki," which aired on January 28, 2014, Ki Seung Nyang, played by Ha Ji Won, and Ta Na Shil Ri, played by Baek Jin Hee, showed the power of the brutal women of "Empress Ki."
Ta Na Shil Ri's jealousy for Ki Seung Nyang escalated when Ki Seung Nyang was chosen by Ta Hwan, played by Ji Chang Wook. Ta Na Shil Ri then plotted to kick Ki Seung Nyang out of the castle with Yeon Hwa, played by Yoon Ah Jung. Ta Na Shil Ri and Yeon Hwa planned to give Ki Seung Nyang water to cleanse her face, and put herbs in the water that would ruin her skin. However, Ki Seung Nyang noticed the herbs by its smell. She poured the water to the servants who had brought it to her in Ta Na Shil Ri's orders, and revenged her. Ta Na Shil Ri, who then got very angry, did not let Ki Seung Nyang know about the day when her mother died, which was a national day of observance and everybody in the castle were not allowed to wear any head pieces. Ta Na Shil Ri then on that day visited Ki Seung Nyang and picked on her wearing head pieces. She then pretended to be enraged and slapped Ki Seung Nyang's back with a whip. However, Ki Seung Nyang did not say a word. She said to herself, "Pain and sadness is nothing, but I cannot stand this unfair treatment any longer. I will not stand this."
