Korean comedian Yoo Sae Yoon is leaving for the United States to watch NBC's "Saturday Night Live."
Yoo Sae Yoon left for New York yesterday to watch the live show of NBC's "Saturday Night Live." Yoo Sae Yoon in an interview said, "It is such an honor." When the reporter asked him what kind of an impact he thinks this event will have on his career as a comedian, Yoo Sae Yoon said, "I have a dream to one day perform as a comedian in the United States. I think that this [going to watch the live show of Saturday Night Live] could be an opportunity for doing comedy in the United States. I hope this becomes a good opportunity [in my career]."
Yoo Sae Yoon on April 13, 2013, joined the "SNL Korea" Season 3 as a member, in addition to Shin Dong Yup, Suh Yoo Ri, Jung Sung Ho, Kim Min Kyo, Jung Myung Ok, Lee Sang Hoon, and Kim Won Hae.
The SNL Korea team was invited by the American production team of Saturday Night Live. The team is to watch the live show and meet with the Saturday Night Live production team in the United States. SNL Korea is to launch the new season on March 1, 2014.
In related news, SNL Korea is the original Korean version of the American NBC live TV show, Saturday Night Live, which celebrates the 40th anniversary this year. SNL Korea premiered the first season in December of 2011, and has aired three seasons so far.
