Katy B's Litte Red Album has been a well-received soundtrack for couples hitting the club scene, but its success does not guarantee the singer any action this Valentine season.
Opening up to Metro, she confided: "'it would be my dream to have someone whisk me off to Paris. But that has never happened, unfortunately."
Like any hopeless romantic, the 5AM singer admitted that she "loves things like roses and someone telling me they love me."
Little Red, to be released in February 10, is garnering critical acclaim this early from review columns everywhere. Working again with producer Geeneus to bridge the gap between melodic pop hooks and indie credibility, Katy B's 2nd LP is dubbed "a sophisticated dance music with heart."
When asked about the inspiration for her new "mature" output in comparison to the debut album, "On a Mission," the 24-year old London singer told The Sun: "A year ago, some of the songs were more of a listen in the bedroom than on a dance floor. Now, looking at the final track list, songs like 'Next Thing', 'Aaliyah' and '5am' have an 'after clubbing' theme.
"I was going home after a night out and realising I was more lonely than when I was making On A Mission. Then I had far more people around. As you get older and get your own place it's different. That's what the track '5am' is about."
But that does not mean that she will be all mopey on Cupid's day since she has a lot to celebrate.
"I'll treat myself," Katy B. said about her Valentine plans in an interview with Metro. "I'll take myself to a spa day or something and then have dinner with another single friend. I don't need to rely on anyone and then be disappointed."
