Kim Hyun Soo's Ideal Type Is None Other Than Her Co-Star Kim Soo Hyun

In "You Who Came From The Stars," Kim Hyun Soo plays Kim Soo Hyun's first love on earth. He fails to save her and then spends the next 400 years remembering her. Fate won't let him forget her. It seems to be his destiny to save her and her lookalike Chun Song Yi.

That works out well for actress Kim Hyun Soo. In real life the young actress who plays Kim Soo Hyun's first love recently described him as her ideal type.

On this week's broadcast of the KBS Lunar New Year Special "Star Friend," the young actress was asked who her ideal type was and she confessed that looks were important.

"I like good looking men," she said.

But when asked to narrow it down among celebrities that the audience would know she confessed that it was one of her co-stars.

"Among celebrities, isn't it someone you are filming with," asked emcee Yoon Sun Ha.

The 13-year old actress confessed that it was Kim Soo Hyun.

Not only do she and her co-star have similar names but she can also be confused with young actress Kim So Hyun and model-actress Kim Soo Hyun, who was recently cast in the film "The Avengers 2." The actress she is most often confused with is 14-year-old Kim So Hyun, who appeared in "Missing You," "I Hear Your Voice" and "The Suspicious Housekeeper."

At 13 Kim Hyun Soo already has a few drama and film credits. She played a young patient, Joo Won's favorite, in "Good Doctor." She was a young queen in "King's Dream" and the young So Yi in "Tree With Deep Roots." She has also appeared in three films, "Murderer," Horror Stories" and "Silenced," which starred Gong Yoo."

In "You Who Came From The Stars," Kim Hyun Soo is both the young Joseon-era widow who tries to return home after her husband dies and the young Chun Song Yi, who Kim Soo Hyun saves from being run over by a truck. When Kim Soo Hyun's alien lands on earth, he is touched by her character's  gentle nature. But once he sees what happens to her when she tries to save his life, he decides never to interfere in potential human tragedies again. That is until he sees visions of Chun Song Yi, aa girl who looks like young Joseon-era widow.

Playing the first love of your real-life ideal type must be great fun. She's way too young to actually date him but maybe after Kim Soo Hyun spends a few more years on earth.
