Woody Allen is planning on responding to Dylan Farrow's allegations of sexual abuse by writing an op-ed piece for The New York Times.
Dylan Farrow had shocked readers with her letter to the same newspaper last weekend, accusing the Oscar-nominated director of molesting her when she was seven years old.
Andrew Rosenthal, the editorial page editor of The Times, stated "Normally, we don't publish a direct response. In this case, it was so personal, we thought that we should."
Rosenthal added that the 78-year-old filmmaker's piece will appear in the paper "within the next few days."
Allen's family (most are now estranged from the actor/writer) has split even further since the accusations of the abuse surfaced.
Earlier this week, Moses Farrow, Woody Allen and Mia Farrow's adopted son, explained to People Magazine, "My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister."
The 36-year-old, who is estranged from Farrow and many of his siblings, still remains close to Allen and Soon-Yi Previn.
He continued, "I hated him for her for years. I see now that this vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi."
Dylan Farrow has responded to her brother by stating, "This is such a betrayal to me and my whole family. My memories are the truth and they are mine and I will live with that for the rest of my life. My mother never coached me. She never planted false memories in my brain. My memories are mine. I remember them."
