Reporters present in the press conference for Lars Von Trier's controversial flick "Nymphomaniac" held in Berlin won't be awarding Shia LaBeouf the "Darling of the Crowd" anytime soon with his recent behaviour.
10 minutes after the actor settled down for the presser to promote their latest film, LaBeouf was asked a question about the reason of doing a movie with numerous sex scenes. Instead of going straight to the point, the "Transformers" actor slowly answered: "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much."
The actor then walked out, leaving his fellow actors - which includes Stacy Martin, Uma Thurman, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard and producer Louise Vesth - stunned by his sudden exit. The panelists left in the table gave a light applause before Slater joked: "Obviously, the script is packed with a lot of sardines ... one sardine after another," to lighten the mood.
The quote Shia recited was taken from the film, "Looking for Eric," which was about French Soccer player, Eric Cantona.
LaBeouf's bizarre antics did not start there as the 27-year old Wall Street actor attended the Nymphomaniac red carpet premiere earlier that week with a paper bag on his head that has "I am not famous anymore" written on it.
This is the same phrase he tweeted after receiving social media backlash of his alleged plagiarism of graphic novelist Daniel Clowes' work. It was reported that LaBeouf used the same plotline and characters for his Cannes short film HowardCantour.com last year.
It was only a month ago that the "Lawless" actor LaBeouf figured in a brawl at a South London bar before offering an explanation on TMZ, stating: "I'm not trying to have, like, any more problems. Like, I'm really just trying to make peace. I'm a normal human being. Look, I accept what I get into to do what I love.
Media on-lookers are starting to doubt the apology.
