The very much talked-about boxing match between George Zimmerman and Rapper DMX has been canceled, according to TMZ.
Celebrity boxing promoter Daniel Feldman made an announcement via Twitter that the event was much too controversial and that his conscience wouldn't let him go through with it.
Feldmon tweeted, "I just gave you what u want I'm done with Zimmerman."
He continued, "Done with George Zimmerman if you had a major payday sitting in front of you, I know no one else would walk away like I did ***Next!!"
It was announced last week that Zimmerman would be boxing rapper DMX, who reportedly stated he would go as far as urinating on Zimmerman after the big fight.
DMX spokesman, Domenick Nati, told E! News that, "DMX never agreed to the fight," adding that DMX's upcoming concerts will not be affected by the cancelation of the event.
Feldman has reportedly been going through a difficult time after the announcement. According to Miami Herald, Feldman's assistant stated that the promoter has been receiving so much criticism for putting the boxing match together that he was eventually forced to hire a bodyguard due to countless threats.
A Facebook page was also created asking the boxing promoter to cancel the event, generating over 315,000 likes.
According to the Miami Herald, civil rights leader, Reverend Al Sharpton, has also expressed his opinion on the boxing match, stating that it was "glorifying Zimmerman."
Feldmon has also apologized for the potential event, tweeting, "I'm sorry for anyone I hurt with this but this was a very big opportunity thank you."
