Unlike "How I Met Your Mother," Sally will be married in the pilot episode and will realize that she can no longer stay with her husband.

She will embark on the journey of the single life throughout the season.

The "Lola Versus" actress' character is described as "a female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea of where she's going in life."

"How I Met Your Dad" has been written by "How I Met Your Mother" writers Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, along with "Up All Night's" Emily Spivey.

The Hollywood Reporter has stated that although the pilot will be filmed in Los Angeles, if the series is picked up by the network, it will be taped in New York City.

As for "How I Met Your Mother," after nine seasons the sitcom will be coming to an end. The series finale with Josh Radnor, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel is set to air on CBS on March 31.
