A Valentine's Day Present For K-Drama Fans, "You Who Came From The Stars" Gets An Extra Episode

Here's a Valentine's Day gift for those who love romantic dramas. It's the news that "You Who Came From The Stars" is going to be extended by another episode. 

The show's producers really know how to woo and win viewers because they followed what was arguably the show's most romantic episode with the news that there will be an extra serving of this drama.

In the last episode Kim Soo Hyun's character vowed to stay with Jun Ji Hyun's character even if it could mean his death. And today the show's producers vowed to give viewers another episode in which his character can hopefully find a way to live and spend forever with his true love.

Rescheduling the drama to an earlier time slot because of Olympics broadcasts did not hurt the ratings.

The last episode of "You Who Came From The Stars" recorded its best ratings yet at 27 percent. At the same time "Miss Korea" had its lowest ratings ever at 4.8 percent.

Although "You Who Came From The Stars" was shown earlier than usual because of the Olympics it will return to its regular time slot next week.

There has been talk for weeks that the drama would be extended and its not unusual for such a popular show to get an extra wrap-up episode. But this morning HB Entertainment, the drama's production company told Xports News that the show is going to receive a one-episode extension and end with a total of 21 episodes on the 27th.

The drama was originally scheduled to end on the 20th but due to the Lunar New Year one episode was cancelled.

Production executives were also waiting on the outcome of Olympics sporting events to determine whether additional Olympics coverage would be planned.

There's a lot of plot to wrap up in the final episodes. Viewers want to know whether Kim Soo Hyun's alien character is going home to whatever star he came from or whether he can fulfill his promise to stay with Jun Ji Hyun's character.

Will she be able to go with him? Will he become human? With an extra added episode, viewers can only hope it will end well because no one wants to watch an additional episode of heartbroken lovers.

"You Who Came From The Stars" will be followed by "Three Days," starring Park Yoochun, Park Ha Sun and So E Hyun. "Three Days" begins on March 5.
