There has been talk that Rihanna is preparing for her next studio album for 2014.

The face of Mac's Viva Glam Campaign has been keeping fans on their toes as they anticipate her 8th studio album.

MTV is already calling it the "most anticipated pop album of the year."

Radio.com has taken the extra step to guess what direction Rihanna will be taking for her new 2014 album. Here are the 5 below:

1. The "Roc Nation Is The New Motown" route: Rihanna's new single with Roc Nation Management artist, Shakira, may be steering Rihanna towards the Roc Nation direction, especially since Roc Nation management signee DJ Mustard has stated that he's been working on a new album with RiRi.

2. Using extreme sex, but with the idea of normalizing female sexuality route: this one is pretty self explanatory

3. Surprise release route: just as Beyonce did

4. Straight Reggae Route: reaching into her Barbados side

5. Watch The Throne 2 route: A Jay-Z, Kanye, Rihanna collab.

As for the girlfriend rumors between Rihanna and Shakira after their sexy music video for the single "Can't Remember To Forget You," it seems that Shakira is shutting them down.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the singer stated that she had to get approval from her boyfriend, explaining, "I told him. I asked him if he agreed with everything and he agreed. I wanted to make sure because he is super jealous. He's territorial. He wants to know everything is under control."

As for Rihanna and Shakira's relationship, Shakira has stated that they are friends.

She states in her interview with Seacrest, "We text once in a while and we comment on things. She's very nice."

With Beyonce's surprise album drop, it seems that many fans are expecting the same from Rihanna.

The question of whether the "We Found Love" singer's new album will be able to beat Beyonce's has been surfacing.
