Bethenny Frankel's daytime talk show is getting canceled.
The former "Real Housewives of New York" star sadly announced to her crew that "Bethenny" will be canceled after two more months of shooting.
An insider tells HollywoodLife.com that the Skinnygirl mogul had to tell her staff over the phone about the cancelation due to her traveling plans.
The source stated, "She was very emotional, and sounded teary. She said that she thinks the show was canceled because it wasn't edgy enough. She wasn't able to say 'vagina' or orgasm' on TV."
The source continues, "So she joked that going forwards, she wants to be crazy. . . She is very concerned about her staffers' jobs, but was very upbeat and reassuring while telling the staff the show is canceled."
The show will be taping until May and now that Frankel believes she has nothing to lose, the source explains, "Bethenny laughed that now she can do whatever she wants. She joked that the staff should take molly in the morning and then do the show."
Despite her teary announcement, the 43-year-old host isn't letting it bring her down.
She stated, "I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures. My entire staff worked so hard and made every day so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."
A Telepictures rep. has stated, "While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that Bethenny has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future."
The daytime talk show had launched last fall after a test run in the summer.
The show, unfortunately, was only able to bring in low ratings and negative reviews from its critics.
An insider has told People that, "She's a fighter. She'll continue to grow, focus on her brands and work on growing her empire."
