Selena Gomez was restless last Valentine 's Day as she was expecting that the "Baby" hitmaker will surprise her with a romantic gesture to reconcile their differences, a source disclosed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com.

Instead, what she got was her first wish of hanging out with her girlfriends.

"She totally still wants something from Justin," a source who claims to be close to the Disney pop princess, Selena Gomez revealed. "If she doesn't get anything it will hurt a lot!"

The problem here is Bieber, 21, is a little predictable and may not be sensitive enough to know that her ex, Gomez, 19, is yearning to be swept off from her feet.

"The thing with Justin is he's all about over-the-top romance, so if he does do something it will be huge," the source continued in her report to HollywoodLife.com. "And knowing his pattern, he'll probably make her suffer today, and then surprise her with something huge tomorrow - he likes to play games."

Maybe already past the date, but who knows what Justin will come up with.

It may not show now because of the tabloid evidences of their quarrel and Bieber's reckless clash with the law, but according to a HollywoodLife.com source, the "Never Say Never" star is "still in love with Selena."

"He cares - a lot. He's always said he sees her as wife material and that's never going to change," the source explained.

One reason that may have affected his no-show during Cupid's day is that Justin's pride is hurt.

The same source elaborated with what the "Biebs" is going through: "Justin's got a huge chip on his shoulder, he's angry at Selena and he's not making any big plans to beg her for forgiveness. Even if she doesn't get what she wants from him on Valentine's Day, she shouldn't take it as a sign that he doesn't care."
