"The Tonight Show" has returned to New York City with none other than Jimmy Fallon.
The "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" host has moved on and made his debut as "The Tonight Show" host on Monday. And everyone's talking about it.
"The Tonight Show" has returned to New York City after nearly 42 years.
The former "Late Night" host called out his "buddy" who had bet $100 that Fallon would never become the host of "The Tonight Show."
That's when stars came out, one by one, each throwing $100 bill on the host's desk.
Jimmy Fallon's debut was filled with $100 bills from A-list celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Mariah Carey, Tracy Morgan, Joan Rivers, Kim Kardashian, Joe Namath, Rudy Guillani, Seth Rogen, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mike Tyson and Lady Gaga.
Stephen Colbert was the most noteworthy, as he brought $100 in pennies and went out of his way to take a selfie with the new host.
Colbert shouted, "Welcome to 11:30, b----!," as his warm welcome to Fallon.
Lady Gaga reportedly planted a nice, big kiss on Fallon after he thanked his beautiful wife, Nancy Juvonen, and his infant daughter, Winnie, for their support.
Fallon's first guest was actor Will Smith who wore denim overalls along with the 39-year-old comedian to perform the sketch "The Evolution of Hip-Hop."
The two showed off their dance moves as the audience enjoyed themselves.
The musical guest, U2, was at the top of Rockefeller Center for a rooftop concert.
At the beginning of his monologue, Fallon joked, "Welcome to 'The Tonight Show. I'm Jimmy Fallon and I'll be your host ... For now."
He continued, "I don't know how I got here. I had a great childhood. If you had asked me if I'd graduate high school, get on 'Saturday Night Live,' host 'Lat Night' and then go on to host 'Tonight,' I would have said, 'I graduated high school?'"
People are holding their breath, waiting to see how Fallon does during his first week. We're going to have to wait a little more for the reviews.
