Gracie Gold has taken the spotlight after skating Team USA to a bronze medal in the women's free skate Olympic team event.

Gold has quite a history of winning when it comes to figure skating.

According to teamusa.org, the 18-year-old won her first senior national championship at the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championship, beating two-time national champion and fellow 2014 Olympian Ashley Wagner.

For the individual free skate on Thursday, Gold will be up against current leader Yuna Kim, Russian champion Julia Lipnitskaya as well as U.S.A.'s very own Ashley Wagner.

Gold commented on Julia, who has been gaining a lot of attention for her performances during Sochi 2014.

She has stated to teamusa.org, "Julia is a machine and she's an excellent skater. But when it comes down to the competition, it's not always about who the best skater is, it's about who skates the best in that competition."

She continues, "Whether or not somebody is more talented or more flexible, it's about who's going to put out that best performance. . . we're just going to try to beat her at her won game on her home turf and just leave everything out on the ice."

The competition in women's figure skating is undeniably fierce this year at Sochi.

However, the 5-foot-5 figure skater knows how to keep herself calm. Her solution is juggling.

The blonde skater who is currently ranked at 4th,said, "Juggling has always been my thing."

While she was waiting for the short program, Gold kept herself occupied. She continued, "I juggled and I did my regular warm-up. I was able to meet my mom by the athlete stands. The time is long and tedious so you need to find something to do."

She told Yahoo Sports, "It is my party trick, a relaxing, calming kind of party trick. It helps you focus and concentrate and get your eyes moving and your hand-eye coordination going. It just feels good and for sure it helps."

Gold seems to be prepared for the long program as she states, "Let's just get it going - it is an athletic event. Once I get the ball rolling in that long program I will feel a lot better. I just wanted to skate like I should to be in the podium."
