Yuna Kim was upstaged by Adelina Sotnikova at Sochi 2014.

The South Korean figure skating champion received a silver medal while Russian skater Adelina Sotnikova shined as she took the gold for her home country. Italy's Carolina Koster received the bronze medal while Julia Lipnitskaia placed fifth after the final long program.

According to ESPN, 17-year-old Sotnikova stated, "It's the Olympics. And it was a long way for me. To compete at the Olympic Games, I dreamed of any medal, but frankly speaking, I wanted a gold one."

During Wednesday's short program, Sotnikova was 0.28 points behind Kim. For the long program, the young Russian skater scored 149.95 to Kim's 144.19.

The final totals added to 224.59 for Sotnikova, 219.11 for Yuna Kim and 216.73 for Kostner.

These results have angered figure skating fans all around.

According to Yahoo Sports, there have been accusations of inflated scores for Russian skaters and several judges having questionable backgrounds.

Figure skating fans are concerned by the potential injustice towards "Queen Yuna." People have turned to Change.org, a website where people can start and sign petitions to correct injustices in politics, sports or elsewhere, to get Yuna that gold medal.

Currently, more than 1 million signatories have put their names to a petition titled, "Open Investigation into judging Decision of Women's Figure Skating and Demand Rejudgement at the Sochi Olympics."

The petition has gathered more than 1.25 million supporters and has set several Change.org petition records, according to Yahoo Sports. There were 800,000 signatures in its first seven hours and an increase rate of nearly 100,000 every 15 minutes.

Figure skating fans aren't the only ones unhappy with the results. U.S.A figure skater, Ashley Wagner, has expressed disapproval as well.

When her lower-than-expected scores were announced, Wagner's face crumbled. The expressions on her face have been receiving a lot of media attention as of late.

The Ashley Wagner face wasn't just an expression of disappointment, but anger as well.

Wagner stated, "I feel gypped." The 22-year-old American had skated flawlessly for both the short and long program.

She went on to say, "They need to get rid of the anonymous judging. There are many changes that need to come to this sport if we want a fan base, because you can't depend on this sport to always be there when you need it. The sport in general needs to become more dependable."
