Lisa Kudrow is trying to end her long-lasting legal battle with former manager Scott Howard.

The former "Friends" actress took the stand yesterday to defend herself against claims that Kudrow owes Howard $1.7 million, according to ABC News.

The "Web Therapy" (which wrapped up its 4th season on Showtime) star has been fighting in court with her former manager of 16 years, who sued in 2008 for not receiving the 5% of her earnings that he believes he is owed.

The two had set an oral agreement that Howard would represent Kudrow back in 1991.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lisa Kudrow took the stand for about two hours in the Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica. Her demeanor was reported to be "lighthearted" and "friendly" throughout.

The actress only seemed to get offended when Scott Howard's attorney, Mac Baute, stated that Kudrow signed written agreements "when she was making money," but when it was about someone else making money, she didn't.

It was reported that during the course of the trial, Baute suggested that Kudrow was acting like her former ditzy blonde character Phoebe when the 50-year-old actress had trouble following a line of questioning.

Kudrow laughed off the reference and focused on the case at hand.

The Hollywood Reporter has stated that according to the testimony, Kudrow started on "Friends" at $13,500 per episode and was making $1,040,000 per episode by 2000 as she continues to make residuals from the show.

Kudrow testified that she once told Scott that she wanted to pay commission only on the first round of residuals and not beyond that which Scott had replied, "I can't agree. I don't do that for any of my clients."

Lisa told the jury that the former manager agreed to these terms eventually.

Kudrow explained, "I felt like I didn't really need Scott anymore. I didn't' want to fire him as I didn't think it would be fair. A lot of people were firing their managers and told me I was being an idiot for not doing so. I think I wanted to know that having a manager was unnecessary but I was going to keep him anyway - I just wanted a gesture."

It has been reported that over the course of their 16-year professional relationship, Howard made more than $11 million in commissions.

When asked if Kudrow's former manager felt he was underpaid, Howard answered, "No."

The trial will continue today.
