X-Men Days Of The Future Past News Update: The official site for X-Men Days of the Future Past has been updated at X-menMovies.Com. Seventeen new character photos can be seen in their character gallery.

According to Yahoo Movies, Director Bryan Singer promises that "X-Men: Days of Future Past," will be on the "biggest scale yet." At a vast studio complex in Montreal, Singer and his team recreated the White House lawn for a key scene. Star Hugh Jackman, who returns as Wolverine, teased that "the stakes are at their greatest" for the mutants in this movie. "It's the greatest threat the X-Men have ever face, and this is as dangerous as it gets for all of them."

X-Men Days Of The Future Past, an "inbetweenquel", as called by Singer, taking place in between First Class and the first X-Men movie. As quoted from Yahoo Movies, "it's based on a popular miniseries in the comics from 1980, in which the mutants of the dystopian future (set, coincidentally, in 2013) send Kitty Pryde back to stop the same fate." Singer said, "Fans like to see the new characters, but they also like to be anchored in the familiar, so the 'Days of Future Past' framework was a really great jumping off point." Singer added that "It's not just an 'X-Men' sequel. It's a science fiction movie and a time travel story. I've never done that before. It's been challenging and kind of fun, and I think I've cracked it."

An official synopsis for the film was previously released, according to NME, stating: "The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past - to save our future."

X-Men: Future Characters which includes: Bishop, Blink, Colossus, Iceman, Kitty, Magneto, Professor X, Storm, Sunspot, Warpath and Wolverine joins X-Men: Past Characters: Beast, Magneto, Mystique, Charles Xavier, Quick Silver and Bolivar Trask to save the future.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past cast includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart all set to appear. They will be joined by Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage and Ellen Page.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens in UK cinemas on May 22, 2014 and a day later on May 23, 2014 in the US.
