The "Man of Steel" actor's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E," has a release date set for January 16, 2015, according to Variety.

"The Man from U.N.C.L.E" is Warner Bros' adaptation of the 1960s spy series under the same name.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, it has been reported that production on the project has been underway since September.

Shooting locations have primarily been London and Italy so far. The film will cover the first mission for American spy Napoleon Solo and Soviet spy Illya Kuryakin.

Workout model Henry Cavill was cast as Napoleon Solo. Celebritycafe.com reported that Tom Cruise was originally supposed to take the role of Solo while plans for George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh to take part in the film never materialized as well.

It has been reported that Armie Hammer will play Illya Kuryakin. Hugh Grant is also set to have a role in the film.

Henry Cavill will also be in the highly anticipated "Batman V.S. Superman" film starring Ben Affleck.
