Seth Macfarlane fans are rejoicing as the 2012 movie "Ted," which featured an irresponsible adult played by mark Wahlberg and his best friend, a foul-mouthed bear named Ted, is finally getting a sequel!
The movie started out as a sleeper hit before it was awarded as "the highest-grossing R-rated original comedy film," according to IGN.
Macfarlane's "Ted" surprisingly grossed almost $550 million worldwide, and broke box-office records at the time of its release in 2012.
Despite rumours about changes in casting, Wahlberg will once again play the part of Bennett.
The biggest blow was about her love interest.
According to Deadline Hollywood, "Lovelace" actress Amanda Seyfried is going to star in the "Ted" sequel, replacing Mila Kunis as his leading lady.
There are no story line leaked of how Seyfried is going to fit the existing plot, since Kunis' character married Wahlberg at the end of part 1.
"Amanda Seyfried is going to play the female lead in Ted 2, the Seth MacFarlane-directed sequel with Mark Wahlberg back as the centerpiece in the ongoing saga of a man and his foul-mouthed teddy bear. MacFarlane is still putting together the pieces for the Ted 2 sequel, but it looks like Mila Kunis will only appear in a tiny role, if at all, in the sequel," Deadline Hollywood further reported.
The reason of the "Black Swan" actress being replaced is largely of "creative" difference and nothing personal, according to the entertainment news site. Kunis was said to be still friends with the Family Guy writer/director as she will continue to play the voice for one its character, "Meg."
Amanda Seyfried has a working history with Macfarlane as she stars in his upcoming film, "A Million Ways To Die," which also have Neil Patrick Harris, Liam Neeson and Charlize Theron among its cast.
Ted 2 is going to be released in June 2015.
