One of the highlights of The Boss' Australian tour is when Bruce Springsteen covers Lorde song. The 17-year old singer gained worldwide stardom after she released her mega hit "Royals" in 2013. The legendary singer decided to perform one cover song for each city that he plays in during his southern hemisphere tour.

His latest surprise to his fans in Auckland was doing a cover of the Grammy-winning track "Royals". That song is perfect for the city because that's the hometown of teenage singer. The audience at Mt. Smart Stadium went wild as Bruce Springsteen covers Lorde song. He did an acoustic version of "Royals" using a guitar and harmonica. The 64-year old singer also tweaked the lyrics of the song by singing "You can call me King Bee" instead of "Queen Bee". That line could be heard in the chorus of the song.

The Australian Tour of Bruce Springsteen featured some of the world's best musicians including the E Street Band and guitar god Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine). Here is a list of the popular songs that he covered during his tour:

1.      Nelson Mandela by The Special A.K.A.: To give honor to the late South African president, Bruce Springsteen jammed with Steve van Zandt in Cape Town for his own rendition of this inspiring song.

2.      Highway to Hell by AC/DC: Having a close relationship with Bon Scott, the late singer of the legendary band, Springsteen performed one of AC/DC's greatest hits in Perth.

3.      Heatwave by Martha and the Vandellas: Before starting the show, The Boss said "I thought it was hot yesterday. What the fuck is going on today?" He made Adelaide cooler by singing this R&B classic.

4.      Friday on My Mind by The Easybeats and Don't Change by INXS: Springsteen did a back-to-back cover in Sydney by starting off with a 1966 hit. He later on played another Aussie tribute from the late Michael Hutchence.

5.      Drinking Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee by Jerry Lewis: The song was perfect for the venue of the concert which was at the Hope Estate Winery in Hunter Valley.

6.       Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees: Springteen's performance in Queensland, which is the hometown of the Bee Gees was spectacular. Barry Gibb even tweeted "Dear Bruce @springsteen, just been blown away by your Stayin' Alive. You brought it back to life. Thank you!"

7.      Royals by Lorde: The audience in Auckland was surprised when Bruce Springsteen covers Lorde song. The veteran singer has been covering classic songs so singing a pop sing is a breath of fresh air.
