Are superheroes are really different in real life?

Andrew Garfield, who plays the friendly neighborhood hero in the upcoming movie "Spiderman 2", allegedly bailed on his Oscar presentation with the "Batkid" Miles Scott after disagreeing with the segment he was going to present.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences had collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make Miles Scott's superhero dreams come true by letting the "PeterParker" actor appoint him as "Batkid."

"The academy was going to make him an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony. Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him 'Batkid.' But, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn't like his lines," an insider told pagesix.com.

"Garfield refused to go by the script. He came up with his own lines. The producers felt that Garfield's [rewrites] were not appropriate. Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off. Miles and his family, who were at the rehearsal, were devastated," the source further revealed.

The academy has called "Captain America" star Chris Evans to do the honor, but the segment was yanked off the presentation altogether.

Garfield was quick to correct the situation since people who witnessed the scene was already calling him a spoiled brat.

Miles and his family got a surprise in the mail: all-expenses paid trip to Disneyland and a personal visit from the Spiderman actor.

"Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with ... Miles and his family," according to an Academy spokesman. "Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made, which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production."

To complete the Oscar experience that never happened, Andrew, who is really known for always reaching out to his young fans, even organized a personal Oscars ceremony -- complete with tuxes -- for the Miles Scott in their hotel room at Disneyland.
