Harry Shum Jr. of Glee is marrying his girlfriend, Shelby Rabara. The long-time couple actually got engaged back in October, Us Weekly reports. "They have been together for years and are so great together," a source says.
The actor proposed while they were on vacation in Hawaii, and his lady love gladly accepted. It has also been reported that they have moved into a home in LA. It's a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom place in the Hollywood Hills that cost Shum $997,000, according to The Real Estalker.
They have been very quiet about their engagement, with only Shum's representative confirming it months later. They have given no indication on social media as well, save for some posts on Instagram, indicating that they were on vacation in October last year, when the proposal was said to have taken place.
Shum and Rabara are apparently a dancing and acting pair. Shum is known as Glee's Mike Shum, and was one of the original cast members of the comedy-drama. He has been dancing, singing, and acting on the teenage school musical show since the first season aired in 2009. Five seasons later, Shum is now a recurring cast member, as his character was among those who have already graduated. Since Glee, he has appeared in other shows like Community and CSI, as well as the movies Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, Stomp the Yard, and You Got Served. He was also on the Web series The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, and is now doing another one called Caper, in which he plays a superhero. He has been quite active on YouTube, appearing in projects such as several shorts by Wong Fu Productions, and has his own channel, called iharryshum.
Rabara has actually appeared with him in Glee as Shoshandra, and also worked with him on The LXD. She is also in the movies Fame, Dance Flick, and 17 Again.
