The Korean drama "My Love From Another Star" has gained immense popularity.
The SBS hit drama has gained so much attention, The Korea Times reports that a sequel may be in the works!
"My Love From Another Star" cast members Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun have been getting lots of love in both Korea and China for their roles in the successful "My Love From Another Star."
The producer of the Korean drama, Jang Tae-Yoo stated that he has plans to make a sequel should the opportunity arise.
He stated, "It is possible to make a sequel although I will have to talk with the scriptwriter."
Jang went on to explain that Kim Soo Hyun's character, Do Min-jun, travels back and forth between Earth and his planet, which leaves many possibilities in the storyline.
The producer stated, "Do can be portrayed through diverse eras such as during the Joseon Kingdom, Japanese colonial period, or in the '70s. Maybe Chung Song-I (Jun Ji Hyun's character) might not be Do's first love. I want to make it if possible."
Although it hasn't been decided whether the cast will be retuning for a sequel, should the project move forward, Jun Ji Hyun might not be able to take part in it due to separate baby plans.
MSN Entertainment has reported that Jun Ji Hyun plans to leave the entertainment industry and focus on her next project, making a baby.
The actress, who is married to banker Choi Joon Hyuk, reportedly wants to start her own family with her husband and enjoy her time as a homemaker.
There have been reports that the 32-year-old actress "neglected" her husband as she focused on her role for "My Love From Another Star." A close friend of Jun's mother-in-law shut down the reports by stating that the husband's mother had only good things to say about the stunning "My Sassy Girl" star.
As popular as the show and cast have been in Korea, it's nothing compared to the love both are receiving currently in China.
The Washington Post has reported that one committee of China's political advisory body spent a whole morning discussing why China can't make a show as good and as big of a hit as "My Love From Another Star."
Some blamed it on China's censorship laws while many officials reportedly saw the popularity of the Korean drama as a blow to Chinese confidence in their culture.
Updates on the possible "My Love From Another Star" sequel and Jun Ji Hyun baby rumors will be coming soon.
