"Vampire Diaries" fans are crossing their fingers for rumors of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev getting back together to be true.
Although it hasn't been confirmed if the stunning couple are getting back together for sure, both Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have been separately going Instagram crazy for their fans.
Ian Somerhalder was spotted at the 2014 SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Festival Lounge in Texas and was also seen at his hometown in St. Tammany Parish in Mandeville, Louisiana, according to Fashion & Style.
Nina Dobrev posted photos of herself on Instagram vacationing in Cancun, Mexico.
Although the former couple continues to post photos separately, it has been rumored that the two are "hooking up," not getting back together entirely.
The reason for their breakup was the 10-year-age gap. At one point in their relationship, Somerhalder was ready to get married while Dobrev wasn't. The two reportedly still remain good friends.

Episode 16 of Season 5 is titled "While You Were Sleeping." The official synopsis/spoilers proves that the episode will be very interesting.
Cartermatt.com reports the following: "When Stefan tries to explain recent events to a very sick Elena, her first instinct is to call Damon. At the same time, Damon is trying to figure out how to make a disturbing confession to Elena. While going through Dr. Wes' files, Caroline discovers a frightening secret, and is surprised when Enzo appears, claiming to have the solution everyone is searching for."
The spoilers continue for Season 5 with, "At Enzo' insistence, Caroline asks Stefan to meet her at a mysterious location where they are joined by a group of Travelers, including Sloan, who reveals information on the importance of doppelgangers. During spring break on a mostly deserted Whitmore campus, Elena runs into Luke, a student who seems to know her, though she has no memory of meeting him."
The conclusion of the episode gets more intense. "Recently dumped by his boyfriend, Luke proposes that he and Elena spend the break getting drunk together, but she send him off on an urgent mission to find Bonnie and the "newbie" witch, Live. Damon finally tells Elena the truth about his recent activities, and they come to a new agreement about their relationship."
