Jenny McCarthy was recently slammed on Twitter for the connections she made between autism and anti-vaccination.
The Daily Beast stated, regarding the 41-year-old host's beliefs that, "Though she has clarified that she 'and the autism community' are not anti-vaccine per se, they are 'anti-toxin and anti-schedule.'"
The website continued, "That is, she believes the standard vaccination schedule for kids is 'too many too soon' and the 'toxins' in vaccines (mercury, especially) cause children harm."
When "The View" host recently asked fans the most important personality trait they look for in a mate via Twitter, they decided to viciously address her anti-vaccination beliefs.
@sethmnookin, a fellow Twitter user, wrote, "Someone who vaccinates, b/c I'd want our kids to survive."
Another user, @rjblaskiewicz wrote, "Someone who puts the interested of the community ahead of preserving their own absurd, unshakable ignorance" while another Twitter user said, "A basic grasp on statistics."
According to the Huffington Post, Jenny McCarthy began campaigning against vaccinations since suggesting that her son became autistic following a vaccine.
Reality television star Kristin Cavallari also voiced her concern by stating that she has "read too many books about autism" to vaccinate her children.
Jenny McCarthy has been gaining a lot of media attention as rumors spread in January that her son Evan doesn't actually have autism.
McCarthy took to Twitter to shut down the rumors, saying that they are "blatantly inaccurate and completely ridiculous."
Despite all the backlash Jenny McCarthy is currently receiving, she has her boyfriend supporting her always.
Boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg took to Twitter to let her girlfriend know that the haters mean nothing by writing, "To all the late night lurkers ... The vampires ... The lonely hearts ... The lingerers ... the night owls ... & the lost souls ... I love ya lots!"
Jenny followed her boyfriend's tweet with, "Thank you to all the haters who tweet my name. You make my Q SCORE higher and higher. It's because of you I continue to work. Thank you!"
