"How I Met Your Dad" is keeping fans excited with constant updates.
There have been recent cast updates for the "How I Met Your Mother" spinoff and there are some names that most of you are already familiar with.
According to TV Line, Anders Holms from "Workaholics" will play Gavin, Sally's soon-to-be ex-husband.
Krysta Rodriguez from "Smash" will play Sally's best friend, a fashion blogger named Juliet.
Nick D'Agosto of "Masters of Sex" has been cast as Juliet's go-to IT guy and potential romantic interest, Frank.
Andrew Santino of "Mixology" will has been cast as Sally's older brother Danny, an uptight lawyer while Drew Tarver plays Danny's husband and Sally's confidante.
According to A.V Club, the only significant role that has yet to be cast is the future-Sally narrator.
Greta Gerwig who has been cast as the lead of "How I Met Your Dad" told E! News that she's "terrified" as she takes on the role of the "New Ted Mosby."
The "Frances Ha" actress, who will play Sally, reportedly hung out with the cast of "How I Met Your Mother" and has their full support.
Gerwig stated, "They're so nice! I went and I hung out with all the cast and they were like, 'If you can be part of this world, it's crazy fun. They told me they believed in me, and it was really sweet."
The 30-year-old actress will also take on the role as a writer and executive producer for "How I Met Your Dad."
She stated, "I contributed a lot into the pilot, and I'll be in the writers room starting June 1 if they pick it up. I shoot the pilot in like two weeks and then hopefully it becomes a real show."
