The beautiful L'Wren Scott's suicide was a shock for everyone.

Understandably, boyfriend Mick Jagger has been taking it especially hard.

The Rolling Stones front man wrote on his website, "I will never forget her. I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."

The two had reportedly met at a photo shoot back in 2011 and had been together ever since.

According to HollywoodLife, Mick Jagger hasn't been able to sleep since news broke that L'Wren committed suicide.

A source close to the singer told the Mirror, "He is totally devastated and just wants to be surrounded by his family. We have never seen him so despondent and are extremely worried about him."

The source continued, "He didn't sleep after being told the news. How could you? Like anyone, he is wrestling with how it happened and if he could have prevented it."

Fellow Rolling Stones member Charlie Watts told MailOnline, "He's holding up. He's okay. He's not really well. He's not really here. It was such a shock."

A source close to L'Wren told HollywoodLife that the 49-year-old designer felt that she was having problems in her relationship with Mick Jagger along with her business.

The source reported, "She was a woman of a different age. He was, in a different way, her famous boyfriend who was distancing himself."

The source added, "She was sad that she was in that place - 49, her business ending, her relationship potentially ending. It must have felt like a dead end."

The designer's feelings of being "abandoned" by her 70-year-old boyfriend may be added to the list of reasons she decided to commit suicide.

Radar Online reports that her love for Mick Jagger led to her sacrificing her desire to have children during her decade long relationship with him.

Scott, who was adopted along with her two siblings by a Mormon family, wanted a family of her own.

A source told Fox411, "Being around his [Jagger] kids and grandkids all the time often made her feel beyond empty. It was excruciatingly painful for her. She had wanted a family of her own so badly."

According to the NY Daily News, Jagger had been looking to settle down with his stunning brunette girlfriend before L' Wren Scott took her own life.
