Ryan Seacrest Productions To Get Bigger: ‘American Idol’ Host’s Contract With Singing Competition And NBC Universal To Come To An End, New Face To Replace Business Mogul For Fox Show?

Ryan Seacrest has built up quite a resume for himself before he turns 40.

According to Variety, the "American Idol" host is currently discussing his future at Fox Broadcasting, where his two-year deal at the singing competition is coming to an end, and NBC Universal, where his contract is set to expire at the end of this month.

Although reps for Ryan Seacrest, NBC Universal and Fox declined to comment, there is speculation that the business mogul might be ready to move on to bigger things at Ryan Seacrest Productions.

Ryan Seacrest Productions is said to be doing very well with over 10 series currently on air.

Things have also been going well for Seacrest as an investor in a number of tech firms from Pinterest to Typo.

Seacrest has been making a huge sum of money. He was reportedly paid $30 million for his current two-year "Idol" contract and gets an additional $25 million from Clear Channel.

His paycheck from NBC Universal is most likely less because his appearances have been more periodic.

It seems that Ryan Seacrest's stay with "American Idol" may be contingent on the producers of the Fox show as well.

There are also rumors that "American Idol" might be looking to make some changes as the ratings for this season have dropped significantly.

It has been reported that the network is considering trimming hours, shifting time slots and maybe even moving out of its traditional January launch in order to give the franchise a bit of a break.

It has been reported that Seacrest's reps are negotiating details with a different set of executives from when his last contract came around, which means we really don't know how things will play out.

Whatever happens, we're looking forward to seeing what else Ryan Seacrest Productions has in store for us.
