The "Attack on Titan" live action movie shooting locations for the "desolated" world sets have been confirmed as well the lead actor for the movie!

The actor to play the main character for the "Attack On Titan" live action movie was announced by the production studio recently. Haruma Miura, who is known as Shota Kazehaya in live-action "Kimi No Todoke" movie by anime fans will take on the main character role of the mega-hit manga and anime. Miura also voiced Yama in last year's Space Pirate Captain Harlock movie. While the term "main character" is a bit ambiguous, it is expected but unconfirmed that he will be the one to portray Eren Jaeger in the "Attack on Titan" live action movie.

The Anime News Network also reports that Haruma Miura will begin filming the project early this summer at Hashima Island or Gunkanjima ("Battleship Island"), the island known worldwide for its landscape of dilapidated buildings. While the production team has rumoured to be seen scouting for locations in the Philippines, South Korea and Germany.

The Anime News Network also reported that the staff members for the "Attack on Titan" live action movie will include illustrator and designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion, Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honnêamise, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars). Sadamoto is designing the characters of the live-action film with anime/game designer Takayuki Takeya (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children mecha/costumes/creatures, Tekken: Blood Vengeance's Devil Kazuya/Devil Jin) and conceptual designer Kouji Tajima (Captain Harlock, Les Miserables, Total Recall remake, Dragon Age, Garo).
