'Cunning Single Lady" Kim Kyu Ri Proposes Executive's Firing
"Cunning Single Lady" Kim Kyu Ri raised the issue of director Joo Sang Wook's firing at the shareholder's meeting.
On the 15th episode of MBC Wednesday/Thursday drama "Cunning Single Lady" broadcast on April 23rd, director Cha Jung Woo of D&T Soft Benchers (played by Joo Sang Wook) had rejected the feelings of Kook Yeo Jin (played by Kim Kyu Ri) who was the daughter of investor CEO Kook Ki Bong (played by Lee Jung Gil) and was at the risk of beign ousted from his own company.
On this day, CEO Kook Ki Bong knelt in front of Cha Jung Woo and aksed him to take in his daughter Yeo Jin. However, Cha Jung Woo explicitly refused saying that he couldn't. CEO Kook was so upset that he immediately ordered taking back the investment.
At this, the stockholders of D&T Soft Benchers opened a meeting and wondered what the reason was. At this moment, Kook Yeo Jin took the stage instead of Cha Jung Woo. She explained, "We took back the investment because of the lack of trust and ability in Cha Jung Woo" to the shareholders. She requested, "We believe that it's just to raise the suggestion of his firing."
Then, she also forced the decision saying, "If the executive is fired, we can promise the investment from CEO Kook."
In the end, Cha Jung Woo decided he would back out saying, "I think an executive who cannot guarantee the profits of investors does not have the qualification to be an executive. Director Kook is right."
