Parks And Recreation Season 6: Paul Schneider Confirms He Won’t Be Retuning To Show, Season 7 To Be Final For NBC Sitcom?

The season 6 finale of "Parks and Recreation" was simply perfect.

The departure of Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger along with Leslie finding out that she was going to be having triplets was the step in the right direction as season 6 of "Parks and Recreation" came to a close.

The addition of Leslie finally meeting idol Michelle Obama was the cherry on top.

Season 7, which will most likely be the last season of the successful NBC sitcom, will be skipping three years into the future, which means that viewers will be missing the candy-filled pregnancy of Leslie Knope.

Executive produce Michael Schur confirmed that the show will be fast forwarding into 2017 for this upcoming season, according to The Diamondback.

"We may go back and see a couple of things here and there of what happened in the interim, but we're not faking you out," creator Michael Schur told Entertainment Weekly.

Schur added, "This is a real shift for the show in terms of when it takes place."

There had been speculation that Paul Schneider, who played Mark Brendanawicz, will be making an appearance on the show, but we had yet to see him return on season 6.

Schur has said in the past the he had planned on Schneider coming back for a special storyline, according to Digital Spy.

However, Schneider clearly has no plans to return to "Parks and Recreation."

"I'm not interested in going back. And that's very generous of Schur to offer. But I've never been contacted about that nor have I any interest in going back," said the actor.

Although the show is incredible now, Schnieder told Screen Crush that the show was "very strange" when he was involved because the writers were still figuring out a tone for the series.

Paul has been able to see the progress of the show as well as its undeniable popularity from the sidelines.

He added, "Those guys are working on something that I have no idea how to captain that ship. And I was very happy for the experience to be involved and those guys really figured out what it is they're doing."
